Maria McElroy is an MFA-trained painter and an Australian-trained certified aromatherapist. After seven years traveling Japan and studying extensively in traditional Japanese cultural arts such as flower arrangement, Kodo fragrance creation, Japanese traditional music, Shiatsu massage, and Zen Buddhism, she incorporated her Eastern and Western influences into her company aromaM and the signature Geisha line of fragrances. She is now based in New York City.
