Olivier Pescheux
Country: France
Inspired by the films of his youth to pursue perfumery, Olivier Pescheux studied perfumery at Versailles’ prestigious ISIPCA, after which he took a job in Bangkok with Payan Bertrand, which in turn led him to return to Paris as a perfumer for Annick Goutal. Eventually, he found himself drawn into the monolithic orbit of Givaudan, where he’s worked on brands as diverse as Montblanc, Yohji Yamamoto, Adidas, and Comme des Garcons. His biggest contribution to niche perfumery is as a recurring nose for Diptyque, were he is responsible for most of the L’Eau series, including standouts such as L’Eau de Neroli, Eau Moheli, and Vetyverio. He was awarded the International Fragrance Prize (Prix Francois Coty) in 2010.
