Annick Menardo
A childhood interest in science and psychiatry may not have predicted Annick Ménardo’s rapid ascent to fragrance stardom, but it certainly presaged the fierce intellect and exacting commitment to perfection that characterizes her creations. After studying in Versailles at ISIPCA, she joined Créations Aromatiques, where she refined her craft under the guidance of Michel Almairac. From 1991 on, she has been employed at Firmenich, where she has created bestselling fragrances for top lines such as Boss for Hugo Boss and Dior Hypnotic Poison. Annick’s composition style is described as precise, exacting, and slightly rebellious, with each note judiciously chosen for memorable, unexpected scents that avoid the clutter that plagues many modern perfumes. Here at LuckyScent, we’re pleased to offer Le Labo’s Patchouli 24, one of the best examples of her ability to surprise and enthrall in equal measure.
