Silvana Casoli is an Italian cosmetologist and the founder of the Il Profvmo line. Based out of the city of Reggio Emilia in northern Italy, Casoli trained as an herbalist at the University of Urbino but ultimately gravitated towards aromatherapy and then perfumery, which she began practicing in 1988. She has also created bespoke fragrances for global luminaries ranging from Madonna to King Juan Carlos of Spain, and even a top-secret, one-off fragrance for Pope Benedict XVI.
