Josh Lobb

Josh Lobb is an entirely self-taught perfumer. Living in Portland, Oregon, amongst a group of artists and creatives, he and his friends conceived of the brand that would eventually become Slumberhouse as a kind of collective, with Lobb handling the fragrances and his compatriots tackling art, clothing or whatever else they might be inspired to create. Eventually, however, Lobb's scents, which at the time he was selling one at a time via Etsy, took off, and Slumberhouse became his own personal fragrance brand. While the intense, natural vibes from Slumberhouse have some considering Lobb to be an all-natural perfumer, he rejects the designation, choosing to work with any ingredient, synthetic or natural, that fits his concept.
