Laurent Bruyere
Country: France
A self-taught perfumer, Laurent Bruyere’s earliest experiences with fragrance came as part of his chemistry studies, when he would challenge himself to recreate famous fragrances from observation. His talent caught the eye of Dominique Ropion at IFF, who became his friend and mentor. Eventually, he became Senior Perfumer at Mane, over the course of his career creating such hits as Thierry Mugler Alien, Costume National Scent, and Escada Sexy Graffiti. Tragically, he passed away in 2008 at the age of 43.
