Olivier Cresp grew up in Grasse, born to a family whose business revolved around supplying the raw materials used in perfumery. However, Olivier and his sister (the famous Francoise Caron) were drawn to the artistry of the industry. Olivier studied in the United States before returning to France, where he ultimately ended up working at Firmenich. He has worked extensively in both mainstream and niche perfumery, his creations running the gamut from Antonio Banderas, to Christian Dior, to Penhaligon’s.
