Straight from Quentin Bisch's childhood, Musc Amarante makes beetroot the centrepiece. The vegetable fascinating the perfumer “as much by its deep purple colour as by its mysterious smell of earth and ambergris”.
Beneath the freshness of citrus fruits, a beetroot with a humus scent is revealed. An accord twisted with the spicy breath of pink pepper, held closely with silky musk and ambrette. Vetiver and ambergris anchor the dark and mysterious element of Musc Amarante on the skin.
What We Think
A surprising duo of musk and beetroot, gently refreshed with a touch of bergamot. What may seem like a strange encounter, we find quite lovely and nuanced. A must try.
