Here's what other people are saying about Number One Intense...
use of heavy notes, so loved currently. I can see why Number One Intense won awards— immaculately composed, It’s notes flow seamlessly and come together as a radiant splash of sunshine on flowers. Todays excessive use of Oudhs, both real and synthetic, overwhelm my olfactory system and quite frankly make me nauseous, even the most rare of OUdhs. It’s a personal choice really. I’m all OUdhed out! Jasmine’s heady scent adds a touch of animalic, tuberose adds an edge and orange blossom makes it shine..a classic fragrance evocative of weddings in my country of birth. Cassis and iris soften it. And thank goodness rose takes a back seat! Just what I expected.

This is not at all what I expected from the description and listed notes. Although neither note is listed, it opens with bitter galbanum, and as it develops a bitter marigold comes forward to dominate. It's a sophisticated fragrance with a martini-like dryness--attractive, but not at all what I was looking for.

This one took a while to grow on me, but now I absolutely love it! Initially, during springtime to be fair, I found it heady and somewhat old-fashioned - likable, but nothing special. Then, I recently tried it again whilst on the hunt for a pretty, warm, winter-friendly floral, and wow, I haven't been able to get enough of it since. It's all of those things and more, but as it dries down, there is a certain luminous, rather deft quality to it that keeps it paradoxically light at the same time. It's actually very discreet, and in my book, is a very elegant, classic sort of scent.

I did not like this either. For its very ordinary - sort of like some hairsprays one smells.

Absolutely did not like it. It smelled like an old lady's perfume, very strong and not in a good way.

I awoke one summer morning craving an iconic white floral fragrance and this is it! I'm so happy to find this stateside, as it is, to me, a Classic French Feminine Floral, and unlike any other perfume I know. At once soft and feminine and floral, without announcing any one of it's ingredients. A must for any floral lover or floral novice!

Funny how differently people react to fragrances (my review is in direct opposition to the one below me). I suffer from sinus headaches and have never been able to wear white floral fragrances before. I have to be careful how much I spray, but this is the first one I've been able to wear and I'm very excited. It is a very glamourous, grownup, evening out scent. I keep reading wonderful things about Fracas, which literally makes me sick. This is my Fracas!

Anyone who wears this must LOVE white florals. Otherwise it can be quite sharp and headache inducing, like it was for me. At first spritz, the scent was so strong, I imagined an entire vat of floral extract being poured into my sinuses --- on the drydown the overall scent changed from sharp to creamy, but I feel the tuberose and jasmine notes still keep things too heavy. I can maybe pull this off in small doses, but I'm really afraid to try! I prefer more gourmand scents.

The most beautiful white floral ever! I feel like Grace Kelly when I wear this.
