Here's what other people are saying about New York Intense...
It’s good, but it frankly reminds me of Obsession for Men, which tracks given other reviewers’ comments that this is akin to fragrances of the 1980s. I enjoy a spray on my wrist that I can bring to my nose, but I don’t find the sillage particularly strong. Perhaps I’m not putting enough on because I have a tiny sample with no sprayer. Not full bottle worthy for me.

This is a new signiture for me. I cannot wait to buy a full bottle. It is perfect for every occasion and every type of weather, imo. It's classy, refined, and sexy. The scent lasts all day and changes from top to bottom. I get a good dose of incense throughout without being too heady or obnoxious. Other reviewers have said there is a vanilla effect, and I get that too. It smells comforting without being Yankee candle or childish. It's easy to smell every note as it appears in the lineup. Superb.

This is a well blended, classy scent. I had no idea it was marketed as masculine, to me it felt perfectly unisex. This really does smell like upper class New York. Money, power, elegance.

Kind of strong at the begining but once set??? OMG!!!! Very elegant you can use it for casual occasion and even for formal occasion too, so like I said once set on your skin you're good to rock'n roll...

Amazing!!! But You have to let set it up on your skin first and after or between 20 or 30 minutes OMG!!!! kind of strong first but like I said once the fragance set on your skin, so very casual and could be for a formal activity Aldo.

This is elegant, well-composed, and NOT super masculine, more unisex. There is a warm, amber undertone to this, along with sweet and savory spices and some citrus. I would say this scent works well for daytime and evening too. If a woman wore it, she would be equally as seductive.

This is a man's scent. It might feel a tad mature to some, but maturity has it rewards and wearing this is one of them. Patricia Nicolai is very talented are all her skills are on display here (she IS the granddaughter of Pierre Guerlain). The original New York was good, but slightly hurt by IFRA regs I think. So Patricia dusted herself off and created this "intense" version which is spectacular. I do sort of wish it had slightly better longevity, but for a few hours, you are the best smelling guy in the room for sure. This and PATCHOULI INTENSE are fantastic. I've got a lot of scents (a lot!), but if someone said you can only use NEW YORK INTENSE and PATCHOULI INTENSE, I'd be like "ok." Do more men's scents Patricia- please!

Those weary of ambrox/vanilla 'masculine' scents your frustration ends now. Citrus, lavender, oakmoss, civet, and incense are blended by a master here for your delight. The blend of this perfume done to such pitch perfect perfection that draining a 100ml bottle of this yearly is a distinct possibility. Those of you missing 'power designer scents' from the late 80's early 90's this one is a must sniff. NYI manages to be regal, playful, and seductive. Superb quality blended to a level reaching near perfection.

If you are into a fragrance that smells like a classic, masculine scent from the 80's then this is right up your alley. I get a peppery, woodsy cedar, and a bit of citrus with patchouli. I picture an older, business conscious, wealthy man pulling this off. I don't see myself wearing this, but I can appreciate this classic scent.

I received this from the 2014 fall sampler bag. This fragrance is very masculine and was everything I wanted it to be. I hope it projects a little more from the bottle but I plan on grabbing some of this regardless.
