All I got was powder. Like Secret deodorant. Very feminine.

I like this very, very much. The opening of bergamot spiked with nutmeg, as LS describes, is absolutely divine. And it does indeed set the stage beautifully for the sweet, expansive lemony magnolia, which hovers gracefully over a bed of patchouli and sandalwood. Not at all a cologne-type fragrance -- to me, Eccelso may actually lean slightly more feminine than masculine. Projection is good and so is sillage, it filled the car when I went with my housemate to select a Christmas tree this afternoon and combined with the tree smell in a most delicious way. My skin does not hold many fragrances well, but this one still smells plush after almost five hours.

This is a really nice perfume. Do you remember walking by a new floral bouquet that was just cut from the garden? A really sweet experience and warmth developed on my skin, floral, sweet, fresh; a new fragance which is out of the normal comercial scents on the market, something subtle young, for a stylish girl or a young classy man would imagine using this fragance.

I completely agree with Vincent (below) but I'll add one caveat: it's truly brilliant with Arso. It adds a mellow(ness) and rounds off an otherwise rectilinear Arso. That having been said, I also love Arso without the Eccelso. Arso is, IMHO, the best of Profvmvm for men; it holds two of my top 10 spaces of all time.

This is clean, cologne-type, myrtle, light cedar, water flowers, maybe some synthetic white musk. It wears close to the skin but lasts (on me) quite a few hours. It's clean and fresh but not overly so. It's not aquatic or ozone smelling. It's not metallic or sharp. It's just a clean, mellow, oriental style, classy fragrance. It could be unisex. I wanted more from it but it wouldn't give more. Not very complex or interesting, but a good scent. Seems very soft and feminine to me
