Here's what other people are saying about Un Crime Exotique...
I am enjoying this scent and I am happy it was included in a Discovery Set. I tried it without any expectations received from all of the divergent opinions up here. I think that it is part of the fun that you really have to experience a fragrance on yourself before you can know anything. I think the Luckyscent notes above are accurate and I would consider it Unisex to Masculine. Again, the wisdom of obtaining a sample first is proven!

Only realized how much I truly love this *after* going for a full bottle (valentine's day --much better choice imo that flowers). I mean knew I really liked it when I had a decant but was afraid that I would ignore it once I owned a fb (as has happened before with me). But I've been reaching for it nearly every day (esp in this cold weather). One squirt behind the ear and I catch occasional whiffs of this really yummy eggnog/spicy baked good smell all day long. When I only had a decant, I would dab it sparingly on my wrist and I did notice that at it initially smelled like potpourri but on my skin it does quickly turn to a close to the skin eggnog. The only thing I am not crazy about is the bottle. The label just looks like a cheap round black sticker with text on it. btw--the bottle i got, was a slightly different shade than my sample and had less of a strong potpourri initial blast.

Kinda a cross between mincemeat & Old Spice. OK...if that's the fragrance you want.

I agree with those posters that described this as potpourri and scented candles. It's exactly like a Xmas candle I once bought. I do like it. It's very yummy and comforting. I love cinnamon and this has a lot of it. But I'm not sure I like to smell like potpourri. It would make me feel too Mrs. Santa Claus. I'd like to have it but only to wear it around the house, on cold, snowy winter days. And it's too expensive for that.

definitely a christmas or winter scent..i was instantly reminded of the holidays. i find the dry down to be spicy and fruity like cinnamon and cider. the staying power is good, perhaps too good. it can be overwhelming. overall i like it, but don't find it overly wearable...

One of the worst scents that I've sampled from luckyscent. Great name, but the synthetic, overly sweet scent of a Christmas bathroom air freshener is all I get from this scent. If you are looking for a sweet, spicy scent, L'artisan's tea for two is much better.

I'm not fond of gourmands in general so it's not a surprise that I hate this. Un Crime Exotique has a fun name but the fragrance is pure potpourri and totally overpriced for a smell I could get at TJMaxx

I disagree with those who have classified this as a holiday or candle scent. Perhaps it's just my particular body chemistry, but it is something far more complex for me. The smell is very intriguing--unlike any I've ever encountered. A slightly sweet spice and tea element is the most obvious, reminiscent of India (or rather the picturesque India of my imagination). This is not a "foody" scent nor is it saccharine in any way, though the description and list of notes would suggest otherwise. It is comforting but also provocative (here I mean mysterious rather than salacious). While this was created for women, I can easily imagine a man wearing it--it has enough depth to work. It would likely suit someone looking for an unusual, spicy fragrance. Oh, how I do love it...

i swiped a tiny it of this onmy hand from my sample and my DH walked inasaid what stinks! my thoughts exactly, the notes and description sound like my Perfect scent but alas this is a huge let down. Im not sure what it is though that is sodisturbing - i smell tea, cinnamon, ginger, its like a fruit pudding but there is some skanky note in the background that smells like crap to me, and is really offputiting, i dont smell vanilla either. or maybe that bad note is a bad vanilla that is not aggreeing with me. This is gourmand but in a weird Christmas pudding way, def sample first.

This smelled identical to a high end Yankie brand candle down to the scent of wax. Awful as a cologne. Tried on others with the same christmas candle effect. Letdown.

This does smells like pumpkin spice and apple spice candles yet I'm digging it. It's so warm and comforting & in no way smells cheap. Will have to use up my sample before deciding if it's fbw. Many times w/a scent like this I'd agree that it should just be a room scent (like Jo Malone's Pomegranate Noir) but I do find this wearable.

smells like a spicy room candle. pleasant enough but did not have a wearability to it.

For me, even after the drydown, the Cinnamon note overwhelmed every other scent. For hours, I smelled like those mini hots, the spicy cinnamon candies my old piano teacher used to hand out - you know what I'm talking about. I'm getting a little of the tea poking through, but this perfume is much too one dimensional for me, and that dimension alas is not one I like.

Burning chesnuts, cinnamon candle, molasses, disappears quickly.

This is one of the most awful PG scents. With the delicious sounding notes in the description I was hoping for an equally delicious scent but at best this is an alright home scent, that for me is unwearable as a personal fragrance. Very disappointing!

Bursts with cinnamon oil at the onset, followed by dryer cinnamon, ginger and sugar notes. If you make it through that you are rewarded with a lovely, soft blend of vanilla, tea and sandalwood. It is worth the wait, but that initial overly brash cinnamon is what makes this a 3 instead of a 4, and you can find vanilla- tea scents that don't commit assault on the onset like Un Crime Exotique

Well this one certainly seems to depend on chemistry. Luckily, I'm one it smells wonderful on. I could see this smelling "Yankee Candlish" on someone. But on me, my skin turns this into fall ecstasy. The other day someone standing near me inhaled in my direction and said, "MMmmmmm. My goodness, you smell Heavenly". This is a keeper and a reorder for me.

Different! spicy! Very cozy fragrance, this IS a memory scent! crisp fall days, memories of Christmas,CONTRARY, to what some reviewers have stated, this perfume is NOT to be compared to a 'room freshner' Its too lovely....

I concur with the last 2 posters. PG is a fabulous perfume house, but this scent is lacking the twist that their others have - it's a pleasant enough smell, but too much like a room fragrance, not something I want to wear on my person.

My first ever SCRUBBER! oh and how it hurts that's it's by PG, who I adore! Simply horrible, I smelled like a Glade christmas range air freshener. Please don't let this put you off trying his other stuff, most of which is breathtakingly beautiful.
