So disappointed with this one. The description hits all the marks for my perfect winter perfume... but the product does not deliver. To my skin and nose, heliotrope is the most prominent note. A little floral, powdery, and a bit nutty. Not really a gourmand as described. I love woody scents in the drydown... but there is no detectable cedar here. It's not unpleasant, just not as described.

I would describe this scent as comfortingly warm. Very gourmand, it has a subtlety that someone else will most notice when they come in close. The description of the scent above is quite accurate, there is a quality of warm, hazlenutty cookie on my skin. I'll be experimenting with tiny amounts of brighter tones to layer with it in the summer, and I think a lot of bright florals have potential to create an amazing and interesting essence when I do.

Pretzel perfume, yay! This is a lot of fun, but I consider it a novelty, certainly not something I'd pay $125 for. But it's tempting in its own way -- like a sweet Bavarian pretzel.

Sandlewood candy. Nice, even-tempered. Just not for me.

At the end of the day, this ended up smelling like stale beer on me. Thank goodness for samplers.

I had hoped to love this, and though better than many other gourmands I've smelled lately, this one is still just "okay" for me. I cannot quite pinpoint what it is, but there was something ever so slightly off in this one. I did enjoy the hints of hazelnut, and found that to be the most captivating note in the perfume. At the end of the day, though, this ended up drying down into something I felt was a little to matronly for me. OK as a sample, but probably won't purchase a bottle.

Warm, buttery, bread-like gourmand. This is the cousin of Jeux de Peau, maybe with 0.00001% less floral notes.

The notes description of 4 ingredients was spot on. I did not smell anything else described in the editorial description except heliotrope, a touch of Australian sandalwood and small hint of hazelnut and a lot of cashmeran. This is a pleasant, very powdery cashmeran floral. Not what i was looking for but if you like cashmeran scents, give it a try.

to me it stands at the same category as Lostmarch "Lann-Ael" and "Jeux de Peau" by Serge Lutens... wasn't impressed with a lasting power tho...
