Here's what other people are saying about Enlevement au Serail...
Definitely do not like this perfume, and even the creator behind this perfume. Everything I tried from Francis Kurkdjian is unnecessarily complicated and kitsch in the desire for originality. Also, this perfume does not smell even a little "expensive", as they say, some posts below me. It smells as someone maybe imagine "expensive", and the only thing that is "expensive" in this creation is this ridiculous price. I do not like the phrase „old lady“ that some use too often in this site, but this parfume really smells like "old lady". Although, I just love old ladies and I think my grandmother and her friends often have more vitality and spirit than many others. And my grandmother would not have chosen this perfume. Such a kitsch is inappropriate for a "lady". Regardless of the age.

Gorgeous, warm/spicy floral. Very well done. (I'd say it borders on oriental.) But for the price, I'd rather go with Sacrebleu by PdN. Superior scent, better price.

This is one of the best fragrances that LS carries, period. Along with Invasion Barbare, it's my fave of this line and a must in my personal collection. The floral and fruit notes are lush, gorgeous, and never overpowering. I also love the leathery undertones. It's pure luxury, a truly gorgeous scent up there with the best of them.

a burst of floral then an unfortunate turn to aqua-net hairspray.

What a beautiful scent! When applied on moisterized skin this scent lasts all day long. It is a warm, fruity scent that is just right. Love it !

Luscious, narcotic florals--velvety-creamy and vintage. Dense, smooth woods balance things out, lending an air of eccentric sophistication; think tapestries, vintage bath oils and bloom-packed bouquets. It's lovely and though expensive, unique and intoxicating enough to justify the price. Often, luxury expenses require discretion and proritizing; "Enlevement au Serail" is worth a truck-load of lesser scents...

This is a gorgeous version of Femme Rochas. There is less cumin, more leather, and finally a glowing peach heart rather than plum. Clearly very fine ingredients are used, but the price is just too high for me. I loved the sample though.

A beautiful, warm, deep fragrance - very womanly and complex and a must try for any serious perfume lover. It's my very close second favorite in a line of wonderfully executed scents, right after Invasion Barbare. Stunning!

This smells of leather on me, and personally I do not like this cateogry. Also there are many far more affordable leather fragrances.

This is beautiful! A soft, warm, and powdery floral, with wonderful depth. I almost want to say "nutty" base notes, but I think it's the spices. The jasmine in this is right on. Usually white flowers turn to soap on me, but this hasn't. Anyhow, it all works without being heavyhanded, and it envelops you in this warm, sweet cloud. But being a broke college student, I obviously can't afford any more than the samples if I still want to, you know, live. (Oh, by the way, it does not smell "old lady" on me. I feel elegant but quite comfortable in it, and not like I'm wearing my mom's perfume. The sillage definitely doesn't try to take center stage but rather lets YOU decide how to carry this scent.) Anyone who can afford a bottle should consider checking this out.

Julie, I hear you. $600 for a bottle of scent?! The sample is all I can afford. The price is the only reason I gave it one star.

This is indeed heaven in a bottle to me. Unfortunately this time, my wallet and my tastes are at odds with one another. I find this similar to Chanel's Cuir de Russie minus the powdery soft leather note of CdR. I cannot stop sniffing my wrist!!! Perfection.
