Don't put any credibility to the potato farmer's review below, the main "secret" ingredient is not Vetiver, but an accord of Cashmeran (almost the same amount as in Duro), Sandalwood (Javanol, Ebanol, plus an orgy of other Sandalwood molecules) Patchoulli (probably Clearwood), and everything but Vetiver. The creaminess is a bit of vanilla in there that also brings out the chocolatey facets in Cashmeran. Patchoulli/Clearwood is what's giving it that tinge of Vetiver dirt, and the Cashmeran is that smell of Sun-baked skin after roasting on the beach all day.

Don't let the 5-star reviews fool you. There's a reason this smells so pleasant and "masculine." The main secret ingredient is ---- Vetiver. There goes the intrigue behind not listing your ingredients. It causes people to imagine something unique and different when there really isn't. Although the opening is a very sweet, bubble-gum-like vetiver, the drydown is just pure, unadulterated vetiver. Now that the secret is out, would I pay $185 for 30mls of vetiver extrait? Nope.

This is absolutely delightful! Again, Black Afgano’s dark reputation had me thinking all wrong going into this. This is no heavy hitter, but carries a weight with ease, making it almost creamy. The notes are very much crowd pleasing, but of extremely high quality and deft balance! Thumbs up!

A masterpiece; 100 out of 100, smells like non-feminine Cocoa/Chocoalte and "elegant" but masculine Oudh. On my to-buy list; note that this is perfume oil, so much more concentrated, and therefore not as expensive as it at first appears.

Wow, what a gorgeous creation. Definitely leans toward the feminine on me. I can almost almost imagine this on a guy, but I prefer my men naughty not sweet. Pardon me while I go snuggle with my wrist! Sooooo good!

Oh my, soft, sweet wood kissed by tonka and a hint of top-notch cocoa. Evokes tomes of books in a grand home library while sipping cognac. A lovely autumn/winter scent. Definitely unisex.

Okay. First off, let me tell you, I didn't think I would like this one bit, but, for the sake of "science" I decided to try it. I really, really like this. I'm not good at descriptions, but this is what I expected SL Arabie to smell like. It is a very "deep", "full" scent, without being overpowering. I am a lady, but my fragrance preferences tend to the very full, well-mixed scents (favorite is Richwood), that are considered by some to be more "masculine". Those scents don't come across as masculine on me, and neither does this one. The oud is pleasant, which may throw off those that like a "darker" oud. It does have a bit of something in it that reminds me of the dry-down to Black Afghano (which I can't deal with in BA, but I don't dislike it here). This will definitely be going on my wish list.
