Anna Magnani smolders in her role as the widow Serafina Delle Rose in the film adaptation of Tennessee Williams' The Rose Tattoo– a real woman, full-bodied and battered by life, but bursting with love and lust. And therefore, the ideal muse for Vero, whose scents are so lush, exuberant and vivid you can almost chew them: they're like taking a big bite out of the world.
And that bite tastes of roses and honey…
A camphory green flash churns up the spice mix and shoots through the melon and blackcurrant top notes. Tuberose sweeps in, matching the rose blow for blow, pushing the honey into a warm, luscious balsamic base. Milky sandalwood adds a whiff of heated skin. The result is like a contemporary, unplugged, untamed version of epicurean rose classics like Nahéma or Shocking. It isn't every day that you'll get to smell like a Roman goddess.
