At first, green like plant stems you crushed up and brought directly to your nose, eventually turns into a beautiful rose. Absolutely amazing

This one's nice but it dries down a bit synthetic. Might be nicer layered with something. At the start I almost get tomato leaves, it's that green.

At first this smelled like tomato leaf to me. Then dried down to smell a bit synthetic. It's nice!

Fresh juicy green leaves and roses, but melancholy and mysterious despite its freshness. As its name suggests, this is the overgrown part of the garden, in the shadows. The EDP is a tad sharper and greener than the EDT, which I'd say is more floral, but they are otherwise pretty similar, and both quite beautiful.

Pretty, but exactly as the notes suggest: it smells very green. It smells like when you smell a flower that has been freshly cut: the rose, but the scent of the stalks freshly cut wafting up and around.

This is simply incredible! I've never been so emotionally moved by a perfume. While plenty of scents have conjured up fantasies and imaginations of who I might be while wearing them - this scent truly transports my mind to a different place. The translation of the perfume's name - shadow on the water - is perfect. This is the perfume of dark romantic poetry, of lovers lost, of stirring moments and foggy, ethereal mornings losing oneself among the garden grounds of a french chateau. I would never in a million years have purchased a sample of this - I have only discovered it thanks to a sample provided by Lucky Scent. It is feminine to be sure which I normally don't care for - and it is so incredibly *real* that it's almost hard to wear as a perfume because it literally smells like a *place* - but I can't stop myself from spritzing it on. It has great lasting power and while I don't know enough about Diptyque to know how natural their ingredients are, this does not bother my chemically sensitive sinuses. It's lovely, gorgeous, mysterious - all good, wonderful, captivating things. All women should at least try a sample, I think you'll be surprised!
