What a masterful blend of ingredients! Warm and comforting like a cozy cashmere blanket you want to wrap up in. This is NOT your typical sweet gourmand vanilla. The labdanum adds just the right touch of unique and subtle energy. Applied it last night before bed and smelling it still this morning.

This is a confidence booster, makes you feel like you're in charge, you're the boss. I actually bought this fragrance before I bought BR540. It made that kind of impression on me. I think it's perfectly unisex.

This is very similar to Nirvana Black, which I love and which seems to be discontinued. It’s deeper than that scent, however, and has more staying power. I’ve seen this described as sweet and vanilla but it is far more than the sum of its parts. This isn’t dessert, it’s the kitchen with flowers in it that produced dessert.

This is master perfumery borderline sorcery! I am definitely not a very big fan of vanilla bases but the added composition of Tonka bean and Labdanum create the sexiest delicious depth to this scent. It’s classy, comfortable, sensual, luxurious and curious all at the same damn time! This is desire in a bottle! LOVE LOVE!

Put on your sexiest black dress, Christian Louboutin stiletto heels, and a messy updo and go out for a night full of romance. Grand Soir will mesmerize with notes of soft vanilla warmth of Benzoin from Siam, rose honey from Bulgaria and Iran, incense absolute (but not church-like), ylang ylang, cumin, Atlas cedar, and creamy sandalwood. I tried the Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait and was underwhelmed, but Grand Soir is sensual, warm, and luscious. According to the Maison Francis Kurkdjian site, this falls under the categories of men's, women's, and unisex fragrance. IMO, I can't envision this being a very masculine scent? Just me. I think this is just pure sensuality in a bottle.

Grand Soir. It smells nice, but somewhat manish. I think this would smell great on a man. Its not necessarily what I want to smell like.

I received a sample of this & I find it lovely. I do not feel this is sweet at all, but more "powdery" and warm. A winter scent. It has a touch of smoke in it too, so that may be offputting to some, but I love the deep warm, sexy smell of it.

This is really nice. It's a bit sweet for my taste, so it falls a little short of FB worthiness. While unisex, I'd rather smell it on a woman than on myself. I'd give it five stars on the ladies and four stars on the gentlemen.

This scent is a confident, sexy woman. Vanilla, amber, and spicy wood. A bit gourmand, but not cloying in any way. This is a night out, dinner date, extravagant event perfume that is still cozy and comforting like a big hug or a warm blanket. Like the person in your life whom everyone adores and envies because they make everyone they encounter feel like a million bucks. Stunning. I need to get my hands on a full bottle.

This is a very subtle skin scent that lasts a long time. It's spicy and resinous and never overpowering despite being "Grand," with the perfect hint of sweetness. I really dislike gourmands and this tiptoes towards that territory, like maybe a bourbon cocktail rather than a vanilla cake. It goes perfectly with merino or cashmere and lounging by the fireplace. It's simple, but it's perfect. I bought a sample and purchased the full bottle the next day.

I purchased a bottle of the Baccarat Rouge for my sister and one for myself as well and we both love it, so I thought I'd give this a try. I bought the sample and in smelling it, got a little on my finger....I fell in love, I couldn't stop smelling my finger and the fragrance lasted even through my morning shower and several hand washings at work the next day. I will definitely be adding this to my collection!!!

OMG! I ordered a sample after reviewing the description and absolutely ADORE this one! At first, I wasn't sure I would love it however after just a few minutes the scent settled and totally changed. I am truly in love with this fragrance and must have a full bottle!

I was initially mad at this fragrance because I'd gone into a department store to buy Pour le Soir before it was discontinued and was too late (found it elsewhere) so the SA gave me three samples of this. It's pretty and accessible where the other was dark and smokey and mysterious. And yet every morning in December I found myself foregoing other scents in my collection for this. It's cozy, it's warm, without being sweet and cloying. And then I found myself grabbing for it at night because it has just enough of a spicy oriental vibe to feel dressy. By the time I went on vacation in Jan I couldn't leave it at home. When I returned, I ordered the bottle. I know it's just amber and vanilla with softness but somehow it is much more than that.

Beautiful, I like it personally significantly more than Petit matin. It smells exactly like Grand Soir in Paris.. Not heavy - just confident,, beautiful mature woman in black , stilettos , sexy- classy... not cheap and loud...big night -date .. Stays close to your skin.. Great lasting power. ( really an evening scent, no day/work)
