I'm not skilled at analyzing fragrances. But really- the notes here don't matter. It is the product of those notes that is important. This fragrance is a loving, protective creature that envelops me in sweet, warm fur. Like Aunt Beast in the book "A Wrinkle in Time," who comforted and healed Meg after she escapes from the heartless, conformist misery of the shadowed planet Camazotz. It is sweet - a bit like a delicate, flaky, vanilla custard filled apple pastry. But that in no way does it justice. At all. I kept hearing how divine this fragrance was. I finally ordered a sample. A full bottle was on its way immediately. This perfume is a whiff from a sublime realm where no darkness comes.

La Danza delle Libellule... is gorgeous if you are a collector or if you like nice things, but I have to admit... Casablanca is similar and bigger (and it has a somewhat of a pretty bottle too.) If you are buying La Danza delle Libellule because you love the brand or bottle, by all means, do so! It's gorgeous. And the packaging was so delightful. However, Casablanca does a 90-95% similar job. Unfortunately, I don't get a long wear for both of these. Both of the scents last around 2-4 hours around my wrist... So I personally love the aesthetic, scent, and the way the brand makes me feel, but if you are just looking for a loving, nurturing scent for a more affordable price, Casablanca is a safe way to go in my humblest opinion.

This is a sweet, yet light scent that lasts all day. I put some on before work, around 8am, and at 10:30, it was still very detectable. The first notes for me were citrus and pepper. I was shocked to see that black pepper was not in the listed notes. But it fades into a sweet vanilla that, as I said, is very long lasting and inoffensive.

Beautifully understated gourmand scent. It’s light, yet has sweet addictive notes that make it wonderful to wear. This is a day scent and great for everyday wear. Recommend this for someone looking for a different scent that’s not widely known…yet.

This is a quiet gourmand, just for you. On me, the apple notes do not appear at any stage. I get absolutely no fruitiness at any time. The bergamot opener is very prevalent and then almost immediately dries down to a fresh coconut chunk liberally dusted in unsweetened cocoa powder. The undercurrent of vanilla and musk push the cinnamon to the background and forefront over and over. To me (and on me) this smells like a dried, unsweetened form of the drink Horchata.

Never have I ever gone through a bottle of perfume this quickly. This has become my signature scent--I feel naked without it! It's fruity and sweet, but in an elegant organic way that is just divine. I like to wear fragrances with subtlety, so I don't pour them on, but when multiple friends and family members would get a whiff of this perfume on me as we hugged and say, "What are you wearing? You smell so good!", I knew I'd found a winner. I'm about to order my second full bottle and it's worth every penny. I'll be wearing this for years and years.

I adore this perfume. It's simple, unabashedly gourmand, and makes me smile every time I smell it. The coconut and apple combo was fresh and a little unexpected. Not revolutionary, but that's not always what I'm looking for. Can't wait for this to be back in stock.

I can’t believe how much I am enjoying this scent. It’s very sweet, which I don’t normally like, but not in a sickening overpowering way. It’s an adult gourmand. It’s first fresh, and clean and vibrant, noticeably apple. It then turns more sweet vanilla and warm. It’s absolutely delicious and comforting.

For me, this scent has two stages. The first is the initial juicy red apple. This lasts for a bit before transitioning into a vanilla ice cream as mentioned by some previous reviews - a thinner ice cream though (more like Breyers than homemade). I was expecting the cinnamon to show up more, but it just wasn't there with my chemistry. I was hoping this would be a cozy apple pie scent, but again, with my chemistry, it was more like what I'd imagine Snow White to wear at Disney World. Not bad, just missing the cinnamon and cedar. It'd be a good spring scent, for sure.

This fragrance is amazing! It smells like juicy apples. I feel like this could be worn year round. This is a potential signature scent for me.

I received a sample and was in love immediately. The high notes of a sophisticated apple stay with you when you first spritz, but as the day goes on it becomes warmer with the vanilla. I wish the apple and fragrance stayed longer and I feel like I'm going through a lot to make that happen. I bought this version and the Extrait and can't tell the difference. Overall, I love spraying it on everything and savoring it when I do.

I love everything about this, from the top notes to the dry down. There is not one thing that I don't like. Other than the fact that I had to wait to get it because it was back-ordered. But I think even that tells you a lot about how good it is. It's like cold, crisp, apples, with a warm vanilla/cinnamon scent. Like an apple vanilla ice cream? It's such a good adult, sweet, gourmand. Not childish, not old ladylike. The longevity is pretty good too. I spray it on before work and at the end of the day, I can still smell it on me. The immediate holy grail for me, it's the perfect apple scent in my opinion. La Danze Delle Libellule can do no wrong in my eyes.

This embodies all of my autumn fantasies. From the opening notes to the dry down, it walks me through my perfect fall day. I envision apple picking, then coming inside to a warm home to have pastries accompanied by milky tea. The apple and cinnamon are beautifully tempered by the sweet, woody and lactonic notes. This did put me slightly in mind of Red Delicious by DKNY, but more subtle, refined and gourmand.

This sample came with the full bottle purchase of another vanilla fragrance and in have to say I prefer this much more. This is feminine vanilla floral without the white flower nose sting. It’s like vanilla, with a slight touch of powder and lemon cake. I will definitely make a full bottle purchase.

True gourmand! Apple and vanilla coziness. If you love gourmands this is a must try! The longevity is good 6+ Hours, one star less because the sillage is not the greatest.

It is sweet, but it's edible. I can't describe it, but I love it. I don't smell cinnamon at all, or coconut. It's just warm delicious full bottle goodness.

This juice smells delicious and expensive. I hadn't read the notes, so I interpreted the complex rendition of fresh apple skin & vanilla as floral, a honey or almost a honeysuckle scent. It's VERY sweet and yet does NOT smell at all cheap -- That's a feat! I don't get any cinnamon or spices at first or later, but the weightless vanilla remains on my wrist. Very nice. Feels as light as real honeysuckle blossoms in the air.
