Here's what other people are saying about Poudre de Riz...
For me, this is a soft baby scent reminiscent of a certain laundry detergent that rhymes with the word “left.” It does have a rice powder note buried under that, but that baby scent is so good, precious and sweet that it is positively transporting (especially if you are a parent). One sniff of the tester and I couldn’t rest until I bought the bottle. The projections is surprisingly more than I expected, but it’s so soft no one is getting annoyed.

Sadly still looking for my dream horchata fragrance. This one seemed like a good bet from the notes! It's sexy, and there's a lot of warmth, but to me it dries to too much of an old-fashioned vanilla. I think I'm looking for like, rice+sandalwood+fenugreek.

On me this is a soft, slightly floral scent but the powder is definitely the main note and it's front and center from beginning to end. The rose and tiare are gently floating around the edges but only faintly. I'm not usually a powder person but there is something lovely and comforting about this scent. I recently bought my first cashmere sweaters and this is definitely the kind of scent that pairs with cashmere, tea and some cozy slippers.

When I first blotted this on paper, it reminded me of a lighter, paler version of Houbigant Quelques Fleurs Royale. But after testing on my skin, all I can smell is SOAP. It's very difficult to pick up on any of the notes besides powder, and it's just a little too soapy for my taste.

A delightful floral, sweet and innocent and perfect to wear on a day you just want to wrap up in a scarf and sweater. Only 4 out of 5 because the sillage doesn't last long on me, about 3 hours then it's gone, but overall lovely and easy fragrance to wear.

I can't justify how much I love this but, boy, do I love this. It's a fascinating melange of gray and sweet notes that shouldn't work together but absolutely do. It really doesn't smell like much of anything on blotting paper and it takes a moment to open on your skin. It opens with a balsam-cedar mix that seems restrained and tight. A few minutes later several sweet notes (to my nose caramel, coconut, maple syrup) join with a fascinating reinforcing effect between cedar and maple. The overall effect is a sweet wood effect, like very freshly cut cherry or maple wood when it's still sappy in the spring. I'm struggling a bit with the name, probably because of my affection for Poopoo Pidoo, which really does smell exactly like old fashioned rice powder. I don't get that at all from this--it's probably more like Dumont Bourbon Vanilla than rice powder. In any case I recommend it but it's hard to categorize. I agree with the woody musk but I'd suggest more gourmand than floral. Sillage: intimate, 1-2 ft Persistence: good, 3-5 hours Fabulosity: Brandy Alexander with Daniel Craig Value to price ratio: time will tell 6/0

Beautiful. True, it's powdery, but the combination of rose and rice is just lovely.
