I blind bought this because I just wanted to have a Slumberhouse. I loved Norne and Jeke when I sampled those. This one feels confused to me and just unpleasant. The strongest note is definitely carrot seed which I guess is something I didn't want to smell like.. Then I believe there is a touch of frankincense which is strange to mix with carrot, imo. After about two hours this all dries down and what is left is the animalic note this fragrance employs- civet? Castoreum? And that part I do like. But I am not sure I needed it because for me Chypre Palatin dries down to a kitten smell, so when I want to smell like a kitten I wear that.

I was disappointed by this scent. With the two hints of ash and mint, I was expecting big and spicy things in ways. I received a quite fruity aroma to it from the beginning to the end. However, I do like how pronounced the scent is

A fascinating perfume experience. The first part, which I'm not sure I love, is all iris and fur accord. It's thick, dry, musky and strange, almost claustrophobic. The second part is entirely different, a gorgeous, lightly sweet, leathery carnation with hints of mint, very graceful and comforting, with excellent projection and pretty good sillage as well. I love that part, a lot! Don't be put off by the opening, the drydown is worth it.

No Wild Turkey or wet pet for me. This is actually a lovely spice and musk scent that wears into a very soft and comforting scent for hours and hours. Great on its own, and awesome when layered with Naomi Goodsir's Or Du Serail to add just a touch of sweetness.

I wasn't sure what to think of this scent when I first popped open the sample vial. The initial burst reminded me of the harsh smell of the Wild Turkey 101-proof bourbon I used to drink in college. But once it started to dry down, it had this warm, wild, woodsy feeling to it. It smelled exactly like my memories of going to summer camp at a Native American cultural center in Connecticut – sitting around a campfire inside a wigwam, inhaling the smells of smoke, wood, and animal furs. Very comforting and mysterious.

Smells absoluetly amazing! Dont fear the "fur accord", it's animalic in the right way. I smell all the notes and I'd say the fragrace is what I expected of it. It has a nice waxy lipstick accord in the top notes. Lasts a long time and sillage is nice, not overbearing.

I consider this a "classic" scent - not common, but rather in the "it reminds me of something long ago" way. There is an initial burst of the iris, but it settles into its leather and carnation core. Sweet, but not cloyingly so. Closer to the feminine end of the spectrum, in my opinion, but sufficiently unisex.
