Ray-flection is an olfactory poem captured in a blinding ray of sunlight focused on a perfect bloom of mimosa. Iridescent and powerfully warm, the sunray is represented in an opening of sparkling aldehydes and bright, sharply crisp mandarin, which heats the sweet, fresh mimosa until it fills the air with honeyed intensity. Ray-flection by Masque Milano has been a recent favorite of mine because it brings to mind a very specific memory. I'm not sure if anyone out there will be able to relate to me, but there was a candy. It's been discontinued since I was a kid. But it is the Altoid Tangerine Sours. I would go through about a tin of these a day. I was addicted to them.

And something about this fragrance reminds me distinctly of that candy. There is a sour sweetness and a tangerine mandarin citrus feeling whenever I spray this fragrance. So there is mandarin, there's honey, and mimosa is really the star of the show. This fragrance dries down to a little bit floral, a little bit sweet, but it is so much fun. This is Ray-flection.

Ray-flection starts off as a cardamom bomb. The aldehydes, citru,s and mimosa notes pull through shortly after and reveal a bright and creamy fragrance with touches of fresh spice and wood. Lightly sweet and effervescent, yet sumptuous and grounding, Ray-flection smells like a mimosa daydream - an afternoon in the garden with a book covering your face from the sun.
