Here's what other people are saying about L'Attesa...
This is an iris wild ride. I smelled lipstick, then whiskey, then violet? then lipstick again, then tires, forever. Just tires.

L'Attesa reminds me of my grandmothers old gramophone, a 78 rpm with extremely fragile plates, which may have been celluloid, the opening took me right back to the smell of the records and the wooden case. The iris is so soft and smooth, very much like suede. Carrots notes ebb and flow in and the composite is a very earthy, rooty feel. I can't quite place my finger on a note that feels like older tablecloth linens that have been dried in the sun. Ending of soft soft leather and a smack of tuberose. Decent longevity, enjoyed the scent to the end. I found a heavy hand when applying was better than going light.

This is perhaps one of the most stunning iris scents ever. If I could afford it, I'd bathe in it. No carrots or celery - just pure orris accented with a fine, restrained vanilla and expensive champagne. Lasts at least 6 hours - drydown will last all night. Beautiful.

A whopping leather on 1st spray. Beautiful dry down of iris (ish). Nothing powdery on my skin. Wear your Louis Vuitton purse and your good to go - a perfect match made in heaven. Luxury in a bottle!

Even for dedicated followers of the mighty iris, this is a fragrance apart -- top to bottom an utter delight. Iris has inspired some highly creative pairings in recent years (hello Felanilla, Revenge of Lady Blanche, Paradis Paradis), but champagne yeast is a uniquely inspired vehicle with which to send L’attesa aloft; after that, everything else is simply the frame for this magnificent thing. If possible I’d give it a bonus sixth star for beautifully interpreting nature without falling into the soliflore trap. Get this.

Opulent. Elegant. I'm stunned. I remember when I bought my first Chanel translucent pressed powder compact in the late 1980s and friends, this is the same exact smell emanating from its box before I attempted to open it. Of course, this was long, long before Chanel fell out of favor with me due to quality control issues with their products. Dare I say it, this fragrance smells more Chanel to me than the ones offered in the current watered-down, dumbed-down Exclusifs range. Each time I sniff the back of my forearm, I can hear the snap-shut of the compact case. Deeply I inhale. Masque Milano is a house not to be ignored. Pure luxury that is both classical and modern for the ladies.

I am as big of a freak for Iris as you'd ever meet and so had to test this one and all I can say is THIS is the most incredibly gorgeous Iris fragrance EVER! I think I've probably sniffed them all and while I love some, this just leaves them all in the dust. Can you tell I like it? :)
