Here's what other people are saying about Velvet Haze...
I love, love, love patchouli, but this is not it for me. I don't get any patchouli, instead the opening note is overwhelmingly and only cheap men's aftershave. Immediately had to scrub this off; however, my body chemistry is different from that of most people. (I also don't like neroli or galbanum).

I have spent years thinking patchouli wasn’t for me, but this fragrance has proved me wrong! This is lovely, comforting, smooth & creamy. It is a soft fragrance, but still strong enough that I’ve received compliments! It’s a nice daytime scent. Great for professional settings.

I'm addicted to this scent. It's just so irresistibly comforting once it melts into your skin. It's so very subtle and the prefect blend of creamy sweetness with airy freshness.

This scent reminds me of the Sarah Jessica Parker scent Lovely, but even better. It is very warm and inviting. It last all day. I love it. My favorite fall scent last year was Tea for Two just to give you an idea for the kind of scent I love. This scent is my new favorite.

If the description didn’t take such great pains to remind us that this is fated to become a patchouli, it would be startling to arrive there from those delicious top notes -- all coconut and cocoa and fresh beachy air. But arrive it eventually does, like a white cotton curtain fluttering at the edge of your initial vision, until the whole production is suffused in a pretty afternoon-light glow -- not only not some dank headshop, but very possibly a specific suite at The Georgian in Santa Monica. Old-LA glamour incarnate.

Its true that this is velvety. This evokes similarities to Accord Oud Byredo with its scent of violets. Unfortunately for me , it is so strong it is nausea inducing. I bought it for my partner and she didn't like it either. Don't let me put you off. I can only convey its affect on me.

This is a gem for fall. It smells exactly like the name sounds, a soft hazy velvety cloud of goodness. This definitely strikes me as a fall/winter scent because of its cozy vibe. It almost smells fuzzy, like a velvet mini-skirt straight out of the 70's. I never think of patchouli as something I want to smell like, but don't let that scare you off. This is patchouli done right, and the soft notes of coconut and chocolate accentuate it perfectly.
