Here's what other people are saying about Angelique...
This one is more interesting than I expected from the name (I mean, angelic butterfly…..) It's kinda spicy almost fruity. Fun! Almost a tobacco-y smokey thing going in the background. And if you think to sniff for the iris it's RIGHT there, not picking any fights, just sending out its vibes.

Despite orris and iris notes, I have to search long and hard to find any in Angelique in the opening. There is an odd chalky crayon like note and a slick fatty smell, shea butter like. After some time it does settle down to a very mild iris note, but I'd rather wear Hermessence Iris Ukiyoé. I had to reapply three times during the day as longevity for me was disappointing. All in all Angelique was pleasant around the one hour mark and a very light an airy scent. I would love this scent for my lingerie drawers or as a reed diffuser.

Serene, calming, transportive. I don't even really like iris, so this is kind of bewitching. I'm not sure where it transports me to, maybe somewhere in northern europe with a lake and mountains in the background... I really just wanted to love Anubis and Salome, but this is addictive in its own right. Softer, calmer, happy, inviting, warm.

A pretty look at the bearded iris probably in your garden right now, with an appealing mimosa sparkle that reminds us that the flower is Mediterranean in origin. The cedar and frankincense work out to a sort of honey-pollen undercurrent that adds a bit of longevity, though not sillage, to the proceedings.

This is simply divine. Nothing too over powering about this scent, yet its grounded nicely with a distant wood. It's a scent worn close. Not too green at all, does not flatten out into a powder scent like I was worried about. Simply breath taking. Perfectly balanced floral opening without being too sweet. My only negative is duration of the base notes. It lasted longer than other perfumes, but was gone after 4 hours. I reapply throughout the day just to go on another garden walk.

Iris, in its dryest, most ethereal form, but extremely present. I know that other lovely things are in play, although I can't pick them out note by note. It doesn't matter -- and may be the beauty of the thing. A lovely sophisticated scent, although not for those who like a bigger band playing in their perfume. This is a beautiful, slightly funky, string quartet.

This is just as wonderful as Anubis by the same house. Wonderful, buttery iris...IMHO a better perfume than Swan Princess or Hedonist Iris. It is bewitching, very rich, lasts forever, and is not far from being a masterpiece. Highly recommended!
