Here's what other people are saying about Slowdive...
This is warm and comforting, yet wildly addictive. Keep reaching for this one amongst my sea of hundreds. For a natural, the lasting power is amazing. This is a true honey tobacco. Think: sitting on a hot Southern porch. Nostalgic and warm. Bought second bottle after my first spray.

Received samples of all fragrances from Hiram Green. This Slowdive was so faint I can't even imagine why it was created. Maybe my skin just absorbs the scent. I pored half the sample onto my arm, put on my shoes, made myself an ice water drink, walked to my car where I was joined by two people. I waited for their reaction. No one could detect it until they had a nose touching my skin. One guessed I had new handsoap. Nuff said.

I had high hopes for this one. I do love a good rich honey fragrance. Sadly, this one goes on like a urinal cake, stays heavy on the honey and dried fruits for a bit. When it faded down, the honey turned to a soft powder that was pretty enough, but I found myself wishing for more grit from the resins and a softer edge from the orange blossoms (that held more like the pungency of cheap bath fragrance). I so wanted to love this, and I can imagine that with the right skin chemistry this could be magic, but sadly that is not mine.

This scent is solidly in the "unique; wouldn't buy" category. It starts off with a distinct Atomic Fireball candy smell: cinnamon + spice. It mutes down to something subtler with a spicy tobacco quality to it. It's definitely not for me, but I can see others loving it.

If nirvana had a scent, this would be it. It's light, fragrant, sensual in an understated way. I am not a Goddess, but if I was, this would be my perfume. Beautiful. It's replaced my old fragrance. Well done! If I could, I'd rate it a 10!

The nectar of the gods here! Really, this perfume should be called "Nectar" in my opinion. I absolutely love the all-natural masterpiece of honey, resin, and orange flower that comes out as I am wearing it. Smells like a bit of paradise with blossoms and honeycombs swirling in the air. Truly amazing and full-bottle worthy :) Just ordered mine today!

This goes on like a cinnamon red hot (spicy!) and then dries down to a warm honey. Unique and pleasurable. I love it!

Slowdive smells all natural and evokes the luscious aromas of being in nature buzzing about with industrious little Bees collecting precious Ambery rich earthy honey nectar. Honey, creamy tuberose, resinous dried fruits and a tinge of acidic tobacco flower blended together beautifully. Hiram Green's Slowdive is Apiary magic, comforting shimmering fragrant Pixie poultice to cure the woes of rugged city life.

Slowdive on first impression was a honey bomb, then with a hit of tobacco. (The Hiram Green website lists beeswax, not honey.) I thought immediately of Serge Lutens' Chergui (which also contains honey and tobacco leaf, along with musk and floral notes). Slowdive strikes me as a less refined, fruitier version of Chergui. I don't need both, and I much prefer the latter.

Just an update to my previous post. I thought this might be too sweet, but found myself craving it today. It's a truly a soothing scent.

I wore this today, and I was enveloped in a thick, dark, rich honey scent all day long. It's been over 8 hours. I imagine the other notes would be more prominent on different people. On me, it's dark and sweet honey. If you've ever wanted a true and delicious honey fragrance that can last all day and then some, this is it. I think it can be worn in any season. I will say, go lightly. You don't need too many sprays. I over-sprayed on first application, thinking it would be gone in a flash, and I was very wrong. It was quite impressive. With the right application, it's warm, delicious, and soothing.
