At first this seemed interesting-- a fruity incense type scent..... But quickly turns unpleasant and chemical. I think it's the peach and leather notes that clash badly for me.

This is a masterfully crafted perfume. I first came across it at Jovoy in Paris and was struck by the similarity in structure to Mitsouko, which I had just bought the day before at the Guerlain flagship down the street. Instead of peaches and oakmoss, this uses tuberose and leather, two of my favorite accords. If you like love classic chypre masterpieces and are open to a modern incarnation with no sacrifice in skill or ingredient quality, try this.

Blech, definitely a miss for me. Not quite a scrubber, but it smells like "my mom's idea of 'sexy perfume'" + pink soap. I'm even a fan of the vintage vibe when done well, but this just feels dropped out of the 80s. It *does* develop over time with some interest, but not for me.

Deliciously animalic! This perfume has a distinct and intense skank note -- the castoreum? It smells just like the shoes you've worn to clean stalls at an old horse barn with dirt floors saturated by years of horse pee and manure, shoes that you cannot wear anywhere else because of the skank they've absorbed. Adds a compelling, almost irresistible realism to the leather that kinda makes me swoon! Not what I'm looking for in a perfume these days, but I do love it. Five stars for the skank!

This is a wonderfully balanced fragrance, structurally a perfect marriage of the past and the present. Complex yet translucent, wax and pollen and salt and leather-bound books. The deep drydown is surprisingly bright (how is a bright drydown even possible?). I swear I can smell the sunrise - or, less metaphorically, the davana - on my arms when I wake up the next morning.

Very nice leather and tuberose. Nice in hot weather even. Reminds me a bit of Bandit but much less in your face.

Ordered my first FB a few minutes after I spelled my first sample. True, there is leather, but it seems like such a soft, supple leather, and blends beautifully with the fruits and flowers. Agree with the writeup that says this perfume is 'achingly lovlingly'. It is listed as a unisex, but I'm not too sure this is the type of leather my husband or my teenage boys tends to gravitate towards. Good - more supply left for me and my girlfriends (!).
