Here's what other people are saying about Nightingale...
This is an intensely powdery scent, I can't separate it from my grandma's potpourri. This is mostly a me problem, the scent stays on and it's not too strong. It could be the powder scent of your dreams! Not mine though.

I really like all of my Zoologist fragrances including Nightingale. I have worn it for 3 days straight. Day one and two, I sprayed normally but on day 3, I sprayed heavily. The more I sprayed, the better the scent for me but it still did not last as long as I would have liked. Sad.

This is an extraordinarily pretty, bright, sweet floral with a lovely powdery dry-down. It's so Japanese and character, airy, and lovely. I'm not much of a floral perfume wearer, but this fragrance reminds me powerfully of my late grandmother who passed away nearly 20 years ago. The memories are vivid, and I feel nothing but pretty, elegant, and timeless -- without feeling old -- when I wear this.

An extraordinarily pretty, plush opening -- plum blossom has a sweet, clean, powdery aspect, here amplified by rose and violet and kept from being cloying by bergamot and lemon (think Meyer lemon, not iced-tea garnish). Drydown moves into a space that’s mossy but still rich and floral, though more akin to smoke than powder at that point. This would be a spectacular choice for someone who doesn’t necessarily wear floral scents often but, when it’s floral time, intends to be fascinating.

This was my least favorite in the otherwise fab Zoologist line. I agree with another reviewer here it quickly dries down to a sweet talcum powdery. It's not very floral, just non-entity sweet. It's inoffensive, pleasant, mild, low-key, sure. Reminds me of a teeny bit of the old powdery "Ombre Rose", but, not as floral (or, as good), I'm afraid.

Nightingale starts out magnificently. Unfortunately, within 15 minutes, it turns to talcum powder and smells just like the fancy powder with the pouf that my mother used in the 60s. It's not a bad thing, but it's not MY thing.

Reminds me of an early Hermes fragrance. Definitely could be worn by a man or woman. I didn't dislike it but it wasn't something that I would choose for myself. Very Citrus opening and by fading I couldn't detect the middle or base notes as lingering.

LOVE at first sniff. I was so worried this would smell like all the other "fruity florals" out there but I was immediately transported when I smelled it for the first time. It reminded me so much of my nan (grandmother) who used to spray lavender/rose water on her clothes when she would iron them. As a child I would hug her and smell her and think this is what love feels like. She took care of me as a child and taught me how to sew. It is like the memory of her is in this bottle. This is powdery in such a pretty way. Not a super "granny" overwhelming way. I can really smell the inspiration of Japanese plum blossoms here its sweet but not cloying. It's just so very classic and pretty. The white musk makes it modern.
