Here's what other people are saying about Ambilux...
This perfume isn't like anything I've ever had the chance to smell. It immediately hit me how animalic this scent was. To me, immediately, it reminded me of owning ferrets. Exactly the smell, in fact. It is a really lovely scent and very homey to me, It is a very bright and furry smell, something I will be purchasing. I ordered the sample size and was convinced from the second I opened it. I personally did not get any of the "piss-y" notes, myself, and really enjoyed the fragrance. If you like more natural, animalic scents, this one may be for you. It goes very, very well under fruity and sweet scents if you like to mix and combine.

Definitely smells like sex, but sex where both participants have been rubbing themselves down with a copious amount of christmas spice scented body oil. It's not actually offensive but this is not a polite scent and I can guarantee other people will assume some pretty bizarre things about your personal life if you go around wearing this...though the projection isn't huge so at least you're not going to announce anything to an entire room. If that's what you're going for then you'll love this.

Wow. The description is spot on, I just don't know that I want to smell like this. After it dries down, the smells settle into something more resinous and dry, that is more wearable, but the first hour is intensely not for me. "dusty spaces, books, pots overflowing with flowers, and old wood" Yep, definitely a lot of dust and decay. "Ambilux captures all the grimy intimacy of our own bodies" Yep, lots of unwashed body smell. Very artistic, creative, unique.

Yep, one of the sexiest scents I've come across, too! Skin-close, I would have to say. The cumin note 'plays well with others' and makes it a very wearable potion. Simple and complex at the same time - well done!

A fascinating, highly unique scent. A brilliant takeoff of incense/balsams lingers regally on the skin at first spray, with a restrained cumin hinting at human sweat. In the heart is a subtle, mellow sweetness, a pumpkin-y or butternut squash quality that, to me, places the whole perfume in a chilly Autumn sunset. But the miracle of this perfume is its animalic base, which smells realistically of a sheep's fleece, laced with sheep urine. Not a human-smelling musk, but one which smells tenderly and nostalgically like lovable farmyard animals. Lastly, costus kisses the drydown with its curious "vacant" smell, like an empty drawer or old house. I love this fascinating perfume, truly for lovers of the animalics.

Marlou gets five stars for hitting the nail on the head. If you’re looking for pure, animal, skanky sex... this is it. Out of thousands of samples and hundreds of bottles, this is the most carnal perfume I have ever smelled. This is not for the timid. I wore the perfume for a good twelve hours, and by the end of the day, it was not weakened at all. I smelled like I spent the day working in a French brothel. All I can say is that this perfume makes Muscs Koublai Khan and Musc Tonkin smell like they’re from an English Rose garden.

Decades ago, I was playing in my grandmother’s dressing room and got into the good cologne -- the stuff she (tried to) keep out of small hands. The results on a little girl were, looking back, probably a little disturbing to bystanders. The costus, ylang ylang, and peppercorn in this animalistic femme scent remind me of that fragrance, and the lush, frankly carnal, high-sillage effect reminds me why I was immediately hauled in for a bath. One to make the grown folk unambiguously glad they’re grown.
