Here's what other people are saying about Memoirs of a Trespasser...
I spray and wear my samples before looking at the listed notes so I can get my initial emotional reaction and determine which notes stand out to me before reading. Here I smelled incense and church. I had a hard time discerning any individual notes. My son (who has a great nose) said it smelled like a campfire, before the wood starts burning, when it is just the newspaper with some kindling. In the drydown, I could discern some vanilla and powdery notes. I sprayed at 8am and at 10pm, and I could still smell it, so it lasts. I got whiffs throughout the, day but it never overpowered. Overall it is a nice scent. I tend to like smoky scents and I like this one a lot more than many of the more popular ones as the drydown is more interesting

Not for me, but I gave this to my friend that gives me "manly library surrounded by pine trees" vibes. It's good, but I would find it offensive on me.

The first time I smelled this I blurted out “holy sh-t this smells good”. My partner was on me like a magnet all night.Enough said

This scent is strong, as though you're walking straight into a used book and antique store on the last vestiges of summer. However, when it mellows all it can be described as simply, addicting. Like a fond memory of the start of a relationship, or a simple easy-going day with your friend on the town. Vanilla comes through the most to me, almost as a strong hug of nostalgia that you wish would never end. However, when mixed with the other heavier notes, notably the oak and resin, the vanilla gains this light and airy mirth to it. I would heavily recommend this to anyone seeking a strong yet subtle masculine fall or winter scent.

This is Replica "By the Fireplace" with more of a dry, boozy punch and unbelievable longevity. VERY strong. Not for the faint of heart.

Received a sample size of this scent and love it! The creamy vanilla notes & subtle hint of myrrh & musky amber blend beautifully. One spritz on pulse points lasts all day. I am cautious as to what I wear, especially at work. This is a very subtle scent.

Memoirs of a Trespasser is a beautiful and STRONG scent. The vanilla is exquisite and weaves in and out of the resin, myrrh, and oak. The first time I smelled it, I was reminded of oak barrels. This scent has a near-overwhelming start but then softens into a lovely blend that lasts all day. It is quickly becoming my favorite cold-weather scent. Highly recommended.

If you like rich vanilla-based scents (it's hard not to like those), then this will be in your wheelhouse. I get a complex vanilla note (for vanilla), complete with lots of creaminess, and a hint of something darker underneath. But, to me, this is very much a vanilla-based frag. Its enjoyable and inoffensive, but leans slightly more feminine than I normally wear. Still, I see this getting a fair amount of cold weather wear in my collection!

Recently got a sample of this and decided to give it a try. The sillage is not that great, definitely more a perfume that stays closer to the skin. It is a warm, comforting scent. The thing that stuck out for me is the slight smokiness of the scent once it dries down. I might buy this in the travel size as a nice winter/autumn scent!

This is lovely. Not too sweet but in the sweet category. The woods warm it up. Not in your face in terms of how far it travels, but it doesn't get lost either. I am excited that it comes in travel size--so few of my favorites do, and I'd rather have lots of choices in my collection. Will probably buy later.
