Essential Parfums Discovery Set

Essential Parfums caught my attention when I was in a niche perfume store in Copenhagen. This brand has the vibe of luxury soaps and it turns out that all of their offerings come in soap form as well, which I adore. There are 3 or 4 standouts, but I particularly love Divine Vanille by Olivier Pescheux. It's a rich, yet not overbearing vanilla & tonka creation. I bought the full bottle and used it many times last winter. The price point of full bottles is fantastic for what you are getting! Divine Vanille is Guerlain's Gourmand Coquin's distant cousin - obviously not the same - but in that family and a bit more unisex. I've had several compliments from people when I wore it.

THIS is a beautiful discovery set. The perfumes are unique, fresh and beautiful. I fell in love with Fig Infusion, Santal x Orange & Nice Bergamote. Most of the scents are really beautiful and friendly to people with allergies. I have a family member who's sensitive to a lot of perfumes and he was extremely fine when I used the perfumes around him. Might be due to their high percentage of natural oils used. Downfall: they don't last through the day. You need to re-apply.

I purchase quite a few discovery sets recently and this was one of them. I found it disappointing. I liked the Bergamot and Vetiver fragrances but none of them held up on me. I absolutely HATED the Rose Magnetic - smelled like dead roses and the Orange x Santal which smelled like sweaty men's deodorant. Both were AWFUL! Spend elsewhere.
