I love Forest Lungs- it is meditative, grounding, comforting; I wear it as an amulet against all that seeks to harm.

I’ve tried all of the Nue Company’s scents and am ambivalent. Now, I don’t expect an immediate, detectable change in mood. I’m familiar with the research, and know the cause-and-effect of scent on mood is complex. So I’m cautiously optimistic. IMO, Functional Fragrance (FF) IS pretty good, whether it’s placebo effect (redefined from ‘sugar pill’ trickery to acknowledging the role of context) or a real cause-and-effect. I use FF weekly. Mind Energy is also pretty good. Both have decent longevity, are wearable in an office & are multi-gender. Forest Lungs … I dunno. It’s subtle, like getting a whiff of last weekend’s camping trip. I’ll update this review after a month of wearing it.

Forest Lungs does have the woody, citrusy vibe to it. In my case I find it relaxing to wear. The fragrance, in my opinion gives the impression of being in a forest. Thank you,

I was expecting this to smell green and fresh, like a walk in a forest, but it actually smells more like a Christmas tree inside a church - warm, dark, spicy and just a little bit smoky. It actually smells the way I expected Aesop's Hwyl to smell based on the reviews for that scent. Love Forest Lungs.

It starts with cumin and curry; then, within seconds, it melts into an earthy, dirty, leafy laden mulch, with the cumin and curry taking a softer back seat for the rest of the ride. It is a trip not to be taken lightly. I’m a fragrance addict. I blind buy for the thrill of the first sniff. This scent may be a personal indulgence, a hidden vice, a ride on the road less traveled. Not everyone will understand or want to go.... but I do.
