Here's what other people are saying about Dark...
It’s definitely chocolatey but in kind of an elegant, not-too-sweet way. Like baker’s chocolate, without the sugar. It’s okay by itself, but it’s amazing when I layer it with cocoa butter lotion - for some reason that makes it last way longer and really brings out the chocolate. A perfect combo, IMO.

I agree with the reviewer who smelled patchouli, somehow that's all I get as well. There has to be something woody mossy going on at least? I was hoping this would be more like a chocolate version of bake lol, but I don't smell anything edible here. Very manly and reminds me of Rihanna's Rebelle.

I feel like there are those such as myself who smell certain notes much more prolifically. All I smell is an acrid scent such as patchouli. I tend not to be able to handle any perfume with amber or patchouli because that is all I smell and it is sharp, unpleasant, and gives me a headache or tunnel vision or drains all of my energy. I smelled no other notes in this which is weird because it doesn’t even mention patchouli or amber…maybe it’s the hazelnut? Or they left out amber or patchouli in the description. If you are sensitive & tend to have a scent destroyed based off on one note like myself please try another chocolate like Sorrisso by Profumum Roma.

Oh my goodness. This is amazing. It sits close to the skin and makes you smell like an evil snack—a chocolate snack with plans to mess things up. Spicy and delicious. I love it.

If this scent was a Texture, it would be Dry. The cocoa is dry, the coffee is black, the dark chocolate is something like 90% cacao so it too is dry, no hint of sweetness despite what the hazelnut and vanilla would have you thinking. If anything, the cinnamon creates a 'spicy' tone. According to my coworkers however, they smell spicy vanilla as I walk by, but it is the pure, thick, Mexican vanilla, not light and sweet. I only give 4 stars as Dark is not personally my style but definitely a great choice to wear on a cool-cold evening/day. It has lasting power for several hours but sticks close to the body and clothes.

I enjoyed the sample I had of this. The dark chocolate and cacao were very nice, understated. I never really perceived the hazelnut which is great in my book, because I really get nauseated when I smell hazelnut coffee brewing. I applied this just before bed and woke up smelling hints of it the next day.

I strongly disliked this because of the sharp/acrid note that I don't know how to name. What is that note called? Lots of perfumes have it, and they all smell alike to me because my nose magnifies that sharp, acrid, chemical smell. Baccarat Rouge 540 had the same note. I'm truly baffled when I read about people enjoying something like this...to me that sounds like enjoying the smell of bleach.

This was a pleasant surprise! I was expecting a photorealistic dark-chocolate (much like Awake is mostly coffee) but it’s so much more It does open mostly dark chocolate with a whiff of nutty caramel, but as it dries down an almost smokey oud emerges. It’s beautiful and was just the touch of complexity it needed to really grab me. Worth testing for any fan of complex gourmands, dark chocolate, wood or even moss.

There is a decent note of dark Turbinado sugar, but the acrid chemical background comes out right after.

I got a sample of this, and I swear to god it was terrible. I didn't smell any chocolate, cinnamon, or anything listed. It smelled like drain cleaner on me. Maybe it's a body chemistry thing, but I would be cautious if you decide to buy it. Get the sample first.

Chocolate chocolat chocolate! Pure dark chocolate, fades to a kind of nutella. Nothing unpleasant whatsoever. Not a complicated fragrance - if chocolate were a "flore," this would be a soliflore - but what's not to like about that? I wish it lasted longer, but while it's there it's really good! Goes well with lots of other fragrances, too, especially patchoulis (like Jovoy Psychedelique) and rose. Super nice.

Masterfully assembled. The fragrance is almost intimate in that the notes seem to unfold for the pleasure of the wearer rather than for its larger audience. Akro Dark delivers excellent performance with both silage and projection and wonderfully long lasting) but the experience of the notes changing and developing seems to be specifically for the wearer. The, unhurried dry-down is restrained virtuosity as the leather notes settle and the woody smokiness begins to clear. Here it develops into a gorgeous hazelnut and deep chocolate with a soft spicy vanilla. The chocolate is deep; warm and expensive. For fall and winter and we would recommend that if you try a sample, resist the urge to call a verdict too soon

Akro Dark is a superbly constructed ‘chocolate note’ fragrance that delivers extraordinary elegance. The fragrance is almost intimate in that the notes seem to unfold for the pleasure of the wearer rather than for its larger audience. The long, unhurried process of dry-down is a fragrance example of restrained virtuosity as the leather notes settle into the background and the woody smokiness begins to clear. Here Akro Dark develops into a gorgeous hazelnut and deep chocolate with a long build of soft spicy vanilla. When you find it, the chocolate is deep; warm and expensive. Akro Dark has been blended thoughtfully and on purpose.
