When you hear the name Vanille Riviera by Maison Rebatchi, you might think immediately of cupcakes and gourmand vanillas, but this is so much more interesting and complex than that. This is a vanilla unlike anyone I've smelled before. So the reference is a Madagascan vanilla on the perfumer's travels. It's very green and floral. I get all of that.

And then I get the stem and the leaves. There's a lot of galvanum that I'm noting in here. And then I get this sort of wafting breeze like a kiss of vanilla that's just soft and pretty and sort of like just drifting in the background.

I really am so excited by this. I love that it's floral and vanilla and green and interesting. It's sophisticated gourmand for the person that wants something a little different. And maybe the typical vanilla, which is also great. But this is just elegance in a bottle.

I’m glad I gave it a chance! I didn’t like it when I smelled it from the sample bottle. It sounded a bit old fashioned and nothing like vanilla. But after I applied it on my wrist and lived with it for a couple of hours, I fell in love. It’s feminine, warm, and calming. And vanilla notes appear after a while. And I am actually happy that it’s no sweeter than it is. It’s a very well balanced fragrance. Give it a try and don’t jump into conclusions too soon!

It’s floral, it’s musky, it’s comforting. The vanilla is there but it’s not sickly sweet - it’s the warm afterglow of a white floral embrace. I am not someone who ordinarily wears white florals, but the jasmine and ylang ylang are fantastic - natural but long lasting. It’s refreshing to smell something that isn’t overdosed in ambroxan for once.

This smells sensual, complex, and warm. I can smell this on me for 12+ hours. It's not the typical vanilla I usually wear. It's very sexy.
