Scent Bar Staff Video Review for L.B.

This is my most recent purchase in a fragrance that I've been reaching for almost every day since I bought it about a month ago. It is L.B. from D'ORSAY. I've completely fallen in love with this brand. It was originally founded by a French dandy when he created a fragrance that was meant to be worn for both him and his secret lover so that they could kind of be together in this symbolic way. And her name was Lady Blessington, hence the initials L.B. This fragrance is kind of a modern tribute to her.

This fragrance is an absolutely beautiful, just creamy, soft orange blossom with a perfectly smooth iris in the opening. Like all of the fragrances from D'ORSAY, this isn't meant to be loud or ostentatious. It sits really close to the skin and it's kind of meant to invite people closer, which I love. But despite its subtlety, I've actually been impressed with how long it wears on my skin.

To me, this is a fragrance that I could and will reach for any day, any time of year. I think that if you are a fan of just timeless, elegant fragrances, you should check out this whole line and this one in particular.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered this, but wow—what a pleasant surprise! This scent has that classic musky warmth I love, but with a refreshing twist. There’s a light, clean top note—almost citrusy or herbal—that gives it a really energizing feel without overpowering the musk. It’s perfect for daytime wear, especially in warmer weather. The scent lasts a good amount of time and settles beautifully on the skin. If you like musk but want something a little more vibrant and modern, this is definitely worth trying!

It’s that slightly dusty, cozy scent of a wool sweater you’ve worn a few times and is on the edge of funk but aren’t ready to wash. SO comforting.
