Bambini Soap

Alright, hear me out: This scent is a dead ringer for those little decorative seashell-shaped soaps from the 70s-80s in the best way. Nearly every American kid from that era will remember the little dish of pastel-colored perfumed soaps kept in the guest bathroom of every household that they weren't allowed to use because they were "fancy" and therefore only for guests.Bambini Soap is a powdery, herby-floral bar of "fancy" soap that you actually dared to use. There is something wonderfully vintage about this fragrance. It's dated but pleasantly so, like the soft-focus feel of a happy old photograph. I've been reaching for this scent in the oppressive heat of the Carolina summer when I don't want to smell like anything other than "clean."

I have the sample set of this rather new South Korean brand and 'Bambini Soap' is one of my two favorites in the set. It is a very cozy, creamy, and clean 'out of the shower' soap scent and it reminds of a refined version of other rather popular clean musky scents. I particularly like the first few minutes as the scent is really creamy soapy clean, but after a while there is an additional sweetness coming in with quite a candy impression, which makes it heavier and denser. So for me, this is a good comfy scent for colder autumn or winter days, certainly not for sweltering summer heat. The whole scent line makes a very refined and high-quality impression.

If you like the smell of a fresh, clean scent, this perfume is it. I love the smell of a "I just stepped out of the shower" soap fragrance on my skin. I wouldn't blind buy this. Buy a sample first. This scent is perfect for summer. This one will be a permanent staple in my fragrance collection. It's perfect for both men and women. Very fresh scent.
