It smells like retrieving an old nativity set out of the attic at the start of December. A little dusty, a little waxy, a little spicy in that herbaceous church way, with a hint of smoke from a long extinguished candle... and a lingering hard candy sweetness that barely hits the palette. I really love it, and find myself smelling the sample I got often when applied, and since it's more of a personal olfactory experience, it's kind of a good thing that it doesn't project too far. To me, it smells like a beloved (not haunted) antique doll. Like a dusty used book shop that burns incense once a week. That kind of thing. Nostalgic and safe.

It's like if an old woman emptied the contents of her purse onto an old church pew and then shoved your face in it. Like if you wrapped a page from an 80 year old bible around a stick of incense and instead of lighting it you just huffed the unburnt stick as hard as you could. Like a bowl of stagnant holy water that's being fanned at you with an old wooden plank that was painted with a fresh coat of polyurethane wood sealant.

Where to start? Hmmm, this is not something to wear if you want to smell good. These fragrances are in a different category, not sure what though. Aromatic? It does smell like an extinguished candle. Definitely sample first. Most appropriate for someone with an experienced nose as this is very challenging. Giving it 2 stars because I wouldn't wear it, but perhaps it is well made? Extreme lasting power.
