Here's what other people are saying about Jasmin et Cigarette...
My very first sniff of this had me enthralled. It’s so very sophisticated & different from ANYTHING I own - it’s akin to burying your face in your lover’s pillow, greedily inhaling because there’s that one spot that smells so much of them. The jasmine is soft, the cigarette is an addictive unburnt tobacco - indubitably an evening scent. Downside: it doesn’t last long nearly long enough, but it’s inexpensive enough to use liberally.

What a scent! I've not worn it in a couple of years but suddenly it's all I want. Heady, sexy, heavy--it's perfect for Fall. Sultry, seductive, sensual. The floral notes weigh heavy but the tobacco cigarette notes really give it the edge. A classic.

Unique disheveled sophisticated scent. It's like opening a fresh pack of cigarettes in a glamorous speakeasy filled with wealthy socialites. I instantly took notice as it's unlike anything I've smelled before. Sillage is meh- but price is reasonable enough to keep topping off when needed.

Most jasmine skirts the edge of indolic while pretending it doesn’t, so it’s a shock to encounter one that backs up a few steps, takes a good drag off its cigarette, ashes onto the concrete, and dives right into that pool. Jasmin et Cigarette is Dietrich in the German version of The Blue Angel, and giving this titanic work of art a fifth star when I don’t even *like* jasmine is probably the most Professor Rath thing possible to do under the circumstances. Carnal, filthy, glorious work.

Imagine a diva from the black and white movie era, sitting in a bar anxiously awaiting his arrival, knowing deep in her soul this will be the last time they will be in each other's embrace. He does not come; she knows why. After a few hours, when all hope has faded away, she gets up to leave. Her jasmine perfume now kissed by nearby strangers' cigarette smoke is still lingering close to her skin but now w/ a hint of soft tobacco. This is a brilliant perfume and the name is all you need to appreciate its charm!

On me, this smells like I'm wearing jasmine perfume and standing in a barn where tobacco is drying. I absolutely love it. I'd absolutely add a full bottle of this to my collection.

Jasmin et Cigarette started out as a lovely jasmine. But as it progressed, like with some, it hit that "dirty ash tray" note on me.

Dirty jasmine but awesome and crave-worthy. A late night meeting, a black dress, red lipstick slightly smudged, cigarette butts in an ashtray on the bar, this is the smell you remember when you get up and she's standing next to you. NOT- your-grandmother- jasmine but high quality. For me, this is a scent that it takes a confident woman to wear and one men will remember, but not realize they've been played. This scent isn't for everyone but it's really interesting.

A friend handed me a sample of this ("This is my slut perfume!"), and I had to order it afterward. It's DEFINITELY not for everyone. I smell the jasmine, the cigarette ashes, the hint of after-sex smell. There's a touch of civet or BO, like some other reviewers have mentioned. Frankly, this is what I imagine it would smell like if you woke up, slightly hungover, after a one night stand, and sprayed jasmine water to eliminate the stale smell of cigarettes. It's sexy, naughty, and I love it.

l get dirty, musky jasmine at first, followed by a distinct & unpleasant whiff of bad breath. After an hour, it sweetens up with tonka & then fades to a retro-style jasmine-amber base. The projection is low, & it's pretty much gone after four hours. l expected something much more edgy & dark than this; no tobacco or even ashtrays here for me. Very disappointing.

Smells just like the name - like you dropped your cigarette ashes into your jasmin perfume. Yuck.

Kind of disappointing. Smells lovely and warm and complex in the bottle, but on my skin all you can smell is jasmine. I wish there had been a little more tobacco. Not terrible, just doesn't agree with my skin.

Lovely! I notice the hay right away. It smells so old-time glamorous. It smells like red velvet curtains and ermine coats in a time when luxury actually meant something. Only downfall - I can't smell it at the end of the day. Perfect for evenings out.

I've set aside my ban on florals for this one. Smokey, sexy and decidedly scented more like the actual flower than the idea of it. Perfect on any hot summer night in a cool joint with a slinky dress.

This is a very primal scent. There is an almost faecal note (musk?) which combats the sweet jasmine and apricot.

Blah. The tobacco notes came out right away on me, even though they're supposed to be the base and in the drydown. Very medicinal; my nose felt slightly burnt. The jasmine was all kinds of wrong. It was dirty, not at all floral. Mostly, it was covered up by the tobacco, but every once in a while, I'd get a whiff, and it had the choking sadness of a funeral home, but again, not really floral, just heavy and dirty. I rarely wanted to sniff my wrist while wearing this. I was patient and waited for the drydown, which was a sweeter tobacco with some woody notes. The drydown was pleasant and was the only good thing about this fragrance on me. Although I ordered a sample from Luckyscent, I would not try this one again.

I ordered a sample because it was rec'd for those who like TDC Jasmin de Nuit. It arrived broken but wow, the package smelled great!! From what I've salvaged from the inside of the plastic wrap, it's a lot brighter and greener than TDC Jasmin de Noir, more of a day fragrance while I equate J de Nuit to hot sultry summer evenings. I'm excited to see how it will develop on my skin, this is definitely one I'm putting on my wishlist.

This is excellent..I agree with the other reviewer; this is one of the few florals I'm willing to wear! It's a sweet, light fragrance that comes off as clean, but the tobacco gives it a mysterious quality. If this were a woman, she'd be dressed in preppy j crew with sexy lingerie underneath.

Don't misunderstand. There is no burning tobacco - acrid cigarette smoke. Nothing on fire. The tobacco note is fresh cigarettes or a cigar...UNlit. This scent is unique. Very strong Jasmine at first blush. Mellows nicely. The tobacco lends a sweetness and depth that really works. It's warm and cozy without being gourmand-y and vanilla-y. Nice.
